project overview
VAR. XG. Inverted wing backs. The game has well and truly gone. Via his very own podcast, Steve Bracknall, Sunday league assistant manager and viral sensation will bring it back.

Direct from the dressing room of his team, Royal Oak FC, Steve is joined by gaffer Paul Sampson and physio Bob the Bucket. Every episode, they’ll make sense of all the week’s footballing news and bring you updates from the Oak…
The project recently won "Best visualised Podcast 2026" at the Edinburgh TV Awards.
All episodes can be watched for free on the show's YouTube channel.
my role
As the video production lead and designer on Game’s Gone: The Steve Bracknall Podcast, I’m responsible for the show’s entire visual output, from production through to final delivery. Each weekly episode is filmed across a multi-camera setup, then taken through the complete offline and online edit, with graphics, archive and additional video clips incorporated throughout. The entire process — from filming through to final delivery — is completed within a 3.5-day turnaround. I also developed the overall visual identity and creative style for the series, drawing inspiration from the iconic Merlin Premier League sticker books of the early 1990s. To streamline the weekly post-production workflow, I created a suite of custom After Effects MOGRT templates — including lower thirds, clip containers and animated stickers — allowing the graphics to be easily customised and edited directly within Premiere Pro.
