Game's Gone: TV Advert

To promote Game’s Gone: The Steve Bracknall Podcast, we created a 30-second TV
advert set against the backdrop of a Sunday league football match. The concept sees Steve Bracknall delivering a tongue-in-cheek rant about how modern football has become overcomplicated, referencing everything from VAR and players cutting holes in their socks to pundits overanalysing the game. The film builds towards Steve’s declaration:
“The Game’s Gone. I’m here to bring it back.”

I directed the shoot and created a detailed shot list for the DOP, coordinating the cast, key talent, crew and extras to create the atmosphere and authenticity of a real Sunday league match. With the campaign running across multiple platforms, I also had to consider the different aspect ratios during production, ensuring the footage was composed with enough flexibility to reframe for 1:1 and 9:16 social versions. I edited the final 30-second TV spot, alongside 20-second versions for social, iPlayer and YouTube pre-roll. Following the edit,
I prepared the project for the BBC’s grade and sound mix, supplying flexible audio stems and graded reference exports for the finishing team.
